  1. Attach the power cord to the built-in electric air blower. Plug the power cord into a 110/120 Volt electric outlet.
  2. Turn the control dial on the air blower clockwise.
  3. Press the “I” switch to start inflating the mattress.

The Curve Cure Mattress is offered in 3 different sizes—the difference between sizes is the width of the mattress hole.  See the sizing chart to select the appropriate mattress size. Once you have chosen the appropriate mattress size, you can adjust the size of the mattress hole, to create the perfect, custom fit for your buttocks and hips during each stage of your recovery.

  1. To make the hole smaller, add air to the mattress.
  2. To make the hole wider, remove air from the mattress.
  3. If the hole inside the mattress is too wide, even after adding air, wedge a small pillow between your legs and the mattress.
  1. Attach the power cord to the built-in electric air blower. Plug the power cord into a 110/120 Volt electric outlet.
  2. Turn the control dial on the air blower counter-clockwise.
  3. Press the “I” switch to start deflating the mattress. To speed up the process, unplug the air valve.
  4. When the mattress is fully deflated, press the “O” switch to turn off the air blower.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet, and disconnect the power cord from the air blower.
Use the Curve Cure Mattress to sleep, relax, or just get some relief from lying on your stomach. Curve Cure’s custom fitted sheets can be used with your Curve Cure Mattress. If you do not have Curve Cure’s fitted sheets, drape a large bed sheet over the mattress, and push the bed sheet inside the hole.

To clean blood and other body fluids that may have leaked onto your mattress:

  1. Ensure the power cord is disconnected from the mattress.
  2. Prepare a diluted solution of household bleach and water. Use approximately 1 tsp. of bleach per gallon of water.
  3. Apply the solution to a clean towel. Use the towel to gently wipe down the surfaces of the mattress.
  4. Apply extra solution to those areas that are soiled, and gently rub until clean.
  5. Wipe off the solution with a clean, wet towel. Completely dry the mattress, paying particular attention to any moisture in the seams and folds.

Curve Cure Cushion

  1. Remove the valve caps and pull out the stems from all 3 pieces.
  2. Pinch the bottom of the valves and inflate to the desired firmness by blowing into the valves, or by using the manual foot pump (use the blue valve on the foot pump for inflation).
  3. When the pieces are inflated to the desired firmness, press the caps and valve stems down to hold in the air. Do not overinflate.
  • Connect the backrest to either of the leg cushions, using the attached Velcro. If the space between the 2 pieces is not large enough, adjust the placement of the Velcro to create a larger gap for your buttocks and hips.
  • Place the cushion on a hard, low chair for best results.  Sit on the cushion.
  • If your feet do not touch the ground while using the Curve Cure Cushion, place a stool or footrest under your feet.
  • The thin leg cushion can be used on a plane, in a car, sitting at a desk, eating at a restaurant, going to the movies, etc. You can even use the thin leg cushion on its own (without the backrest), the same way you would use other recovery pillows. The thick leg cushion (with backrest) can be used when sitting for longer periods of time, at home watching television, sitting to relax, etc.
  1. Remove the valve caps and pull out the stems from all 3 pieces.
  2. Pinch the bottom of the valves, and gently squeeze the cushion to release the air. You can also use the manual foot pump to deflate the cushions. The red valve on the foot pump is for deflation.
  3. When all the air is released, press the caps and valve stems down.
